Email lists, we all know the value they hold when it comes to growing an audience. The better your email list, the more you can connect with potential customers.

The million-dollar question everyone wants an answer to is:

After doing my own research, I was guided toward creating a Pinterest page and join Facebook groups in my niche. I’m sure this sounds familiar to anyone else who has looked into it.

I tried my hand at using Pinterest and Facebook groups, but quickly realized the long road I had ahead. It was going to be a very slow process of collecting emails because everyone else was doing the same thing.

These are effective social media platforms for growing an audience, but I’ve found a more efficient option.

Twitter.

I started from scratch with literally zero subscribers. After just one month of using Twitter to market my email list, I’ve picked up over 1,000 subscribers. Every day I get more email sign-ups and the click-rate and engagement are high in every email I send out.

If I can do it, anyone can.

My ‘thing’ is reselling sneakers. I buy popular sneakers at retail and resell them at a premium to collectors and other sneaker lovers. I started my email list to create a following of like-minded people who wanted to do the same thing.

When I turned to Twitter to promote my email list, I only had 40 followers on the platform. Now I have 43. You don’t need a ton of followers to start growing your email list with Twitter.

1) Find Your Niche

Just like any other social media platform, you’re going to need to find your niche on Twitter. It’s not designed as a ‘group’ you can join. Twitter is cooler than that.
