I’ve recently been debating on if I want my money to be invested more in stocks or real estate. From what I’ve learned, real estate is more of a bang for your buck. For example, $5,000 can get you a down payment and closing fees on a multi family unit that nets you $10,000 a year in rent (after paying your mortgage), builds you equity and can put a roof over your own head. $5,000 in stocks might get you…$100–$300 in dividends annually, max?
